One of my earliest memories is discovering I could write. I distinctly recall sitting on a carpeted floor with a blue ink pen and scribbling. I was trying to write out letters but getting nothing but scribbles. The first letters I remember writing were the letters ‘o’ and ‘t’. There was a moment of empowerment however when I finally taught my hand to translate the letters my eyes were seeing onto paper.
I had a teacher in the sixth grade who took a special interest in my writing and spelling. A few of us were encouraged to choose our own spelling words from the dictionary each week if we would submit their definitions along with a short story using the words. Always a candidate for nerdy things like dictionaries and encyclopedias, I enjoyed this weekly routine.
I was created to communicate. And I was created to inspire dreamers. Looking back I see clearly defined steps that were ordered by God long before I knew Him personally. He was beginning something…
